About me
My name is Krystel and I am a photographer in the Quebec city area (Qc). I specialize in Wedding, Newborn, Maternity and Family photography. Capturing your pride, your happiness and your emotions is what exhilarate me the most. Beside Quebec city, I also serve the areas of Kingston (On), Ottawa (On)/Gatineau (Qc) as well as Coaticook/Sherbrooke (Qc).
As far as I can recall, the sweetest memories that come to mind are images filled with emotions shared with those I love... Growing up, I always tried to capture these moments of happiness, love, surprise and tenderness. Now a mother of three, I wish even more to immortalize these precious moments in order to relive them and cherish them again and again...
Over time, I became passionate about photography, and today I pursue this amazing profession which allows me to play the same role for you.

For couples getting married in 2023-2024, here is a list of available packages along with inclusions. * All costs to get to the destination and stay there for the necessary time (plane tickets, train tickets, accommodations, taxi, meals, etc.) are the total responsibility of the client. Tip: Brides and grooms often use their group gratuities to cover the cost of an all-inclusive package for destination weddings.

Maternity & Newborn
Having the chance to photograph the pregnancy period of a mother-to-be, the emotional connection between mother and newborn and to immortalize the first moments of your baby's life (alongside your whole little tribe) fills me with great happiness. I love capturing the perfect, sweet innocence of a newborn baby and seeing the pride shine in your eyes. The best time to do your maternity session is between the 32nd and 36th week of pregnancy. As for the newborn session, it should ideally take place within the first 24 days of baby's life. We plan this session according to your expected date of delivery (EDD). When you come home with baby, I suggest that you write me a little note so we set the date for your session. All maternity & newborn session packages include travel totaling a maximum of 50km* from postal code G2B 0C5 (Québec (Qc)), K7K 7L6 (Kingston (On)), K2K 0H5 (Ottawa (On)) or J1A 2S8 (Coaticook (Qc)).

Is there a signed contract to reserve the services of Krystel Beaulieu Photographie?
Yes. Previously contracts were signed for wedding services only. Since 2023, I use contracts for all session types.
A contract protects both the photographer and the clients from any eventuality. It's a win-win for both parties.
For wedding packages, is it possible to add some extra time on the wedding day?
Certainly! Following a verbal agreement between the newlyweds and me, I can continue photographing your special day. The hourly rate is $250/h and is billed in 15-minutes increments.
For example, if the contract was supposed to end at 6 p.m. and we agree that I stay an extra 30 minutes, an invoice for $125 will be issued and sent to the newlyweds following the event.
My computer failed before I could upload my photos. Is it possible to receive them again?
Upon delivery of your final files, I strongly suggest that you immediately make a backup copy of your photos.
The advantage of doing business with a professional photographer like me, is that I keep the delivered files for a minimum of two years for weddings and one year for all other session types, just in case you should encounter an infortunate loss of your pictures. There are no fees associated with a second file delivery.
Pssssst...!!! For the moment, all submitted files, since the creation of my company in 2013, remain archived.
What to wear during the session?
1- Wear coordinated (not necessarily matching outfits).
Make sure your outfits coordinate well with each other. Stick to a color scheme of one or two colors. Identical matching outfits can look a bit outdated whereas coordinated outfits look harmonious. In order to make sure that all your outfits go well together, try laying them next to each other the day before the session.
2- In agreement with Mother Nature.
Keep an eye on the weather forecast and be sure to dress accordingly. Choose colors adapted to the season and if it's cold during your photoshoot, make sure to wrap yourself up a bit: knitwear, woollens, scarves, woolen hats and mittens, etc.
3- Take children's opinions into account.
Ask your kids what they would like to wear. Asking for their input will help ensure they feel comfortable and involved. Just make sure they know that their choices are subject to your final approval, otherwise you could be in for a funny surprise!
To be avoided :
• Patterns : One or two family members wearing a pattern is fine, but too many patterns tend to clash and draw too much attention.
• Unique color concept : avoid everyone wearing the exact same color or outfit. Instead, express your personality by all being coordinated with a variation of tones.
• Big logos : Graphic T-shirts tend to distract from the most important part of the photo : your beautiful faces. Instead, choose a discreet logo or even no logo at all!
Is there an additional charge for a newborn session with twins?
You just gave birth to twins (or even triplets!)? Hats off to you, with all my admiration and blessings!
There is no additional cost for a newborn session in case of a multiple birth. I will take time to capture every family members in your tribe.
We are a blended family. Is there a maximum number of people allowed in a family session?
Family sessions are designed to capture your tribe no matter how it is made up. A family bubble (maximum of 2 generations*) is authorized in a family session**.
For example : One parent already has two teenagers, the second parent had one child and together they have two children. That total amount of 7 people is considered a family bubble for the “ Mini ” family session and for the “ Classic ”. On the other hand, if the parents want to invite their oldest son's girlfriend, a fee of $25/additional per person will be charged.
* for example : parents and their children
**except for the “ Extended ” family session which is appropriate for the extended family (up to 15 people included) with several generations.
All of your packages include an 8 x 12 inches file format. Is it still possible to print it larger?
Of course! No problem.
In order to reduce storage space (both yours and mine!) all delivered files come in the standard 8 x 12 inches format. Beyond this format, the printed result will be not qualitative. I strongly recommend that you follow my "Tips & Recommendations" regarding to your choice of store and printing options (that information is shared along with the delivery of your photographs).
If you wish to print certain photos in larger formats, simply write to me with your request, specifying your name, date of session, type of session as well as the name/number of the files that need to be resized, specifying the format requested for each of them.
There are no fees associated with this service.
